Gmarket will strengthen collaboration with Microsoft Korea and operate Microsoft official online stores solely on its distribution channels, Gmarket and Auction.
The announcement was followed by the gathering of Gmarket CEO Hang-il Jeon and Microsoft Korea CEO Ji Eun Lee on July 26, 2022, at Gmarket Headquarters in Seoul discussing the ways to boost the cooperation.
The two companies are going to cooperate on the enhancement of the e-commerce competitiveness with diverse marketing activities and increase customer benefits and convenience from the exclusive opening of Microsoft online stores as a start.
Gmarket, therefore, is authorized to provide a direct communication channel with Microsoft and can convey upgraded shopping experience to its customers in Gmarket and Auction. This ensures that consumers can buy authentic devices of Microsoft through the official online stores directly from the manufacturer.
Microsoft Korea also expands its online distribution channels by launching the online stores, which enable domestic consumers to explore Microsoft products in various ways. Consumers can purchase a wide range of Microsoft products like PC and game accessories and Xbox consoles as well as Surface devices on Gmarket and Auction.
Gmarket and Microsoft Korea are going to work together to introduce new Microsoft products and design marketing campaigns through the online stores.
